Having established that we are proceeding with a design plan for the garden, the consultation is a fact finding mission to allow me to understand what you want from your garden. It is essential that I have as much information as possible about what you (and your family) want from the garden – likes and dislikes, functionality of the garden, aesthetics and practicalities.
We will also clarify which services are required and what the fees will be.
I will carry out a survey of your garden which means I'll gather all the physical information I need to prepare a concept plan.
I will prepare a draft plan using all the information gained from the consultation and the survey. The presentation of this plan is an opportunity for you to ensure that the final plan is going to be right for you.
I will prepare a final plan to present to you, along with any additional information in order for you to visualise the final result.
The garden build will be carried out by either a recommended contractor or a contractor of your choice. In either event I can monitor progress to ensure that everything runs smoothly for you.
For me this is the best bit, the icing on the cake. Usually I will plant up the beds and borders to a pre-arranged theme that we will have agreed beforehand during the planning stage. However if you prefer to plant yourself -and why not it's a lovely job, I can prepare a planting plan if required and source the plants for you.
